By the end of this course:

  • Students can identify and define the different stages of a REM cycle and how the REM cycle affects the mental and physical health of the student.
  • Students can discuss the relationship of good and bad sleep in our mental health.
  • Students can analyze sleeping data such as wake-up time, personal mood, sleeping length.
  • Students can identify habits related to their personal laptops and hand-held devices that can be detrimental and beneficial to sleep quality.
  • Students can identify good sleeping hygiene such as a regular sleep schedule, establishing a relaxing sleep environment, and etc.
